We parked down by view street to allow us to complete a loop that was about 5 miles and took a leisurely 2 hours. The walk up to it followed a relatively easy sloping path that switchbacks upwards. We got to this part first by following the orange trail from where we parked. The smaller of two viewpoints on East Rock is known as Indian Head and has a great view out towards the City as well as across to the War memorial on the main peak. It has inscriptions for four major battles on the 4 sides and you can climb the insides to a viewing point at the top ( when its open). Its 4 sides honors those lost in the revolutionary war, The war of 1812, Mexican War and Civil War.
