![]() ![]() Add the LightSpeed Trainer to your golf training program to increase your clubhead speed by up to 20. The drills and tutorials on the website are very helpful. With Orange Whip’s counterweighted, flexible shaft system and a smaller orange ball, the LightSpeed Trainer is a professional-grade training tool that will help you increase swing speed while improving your control and form. The LightSpeed is meant to swing fast to develop speed. The Trainer works on rhythm and balance, and is helpful for warming up and stretching. I think this is a great bit of kit that will augment the lessons you receive from your professional. The Original Orange Whip is longer and heavier. OK it's a lot of money for a swing trainer but in my opinion it's a swing trainer that works for me and is well worth the outlay. Previously I had a tendency to swing from 'over the top', my drives are now straighter and more penetrating and although this trainer is Driver length it has also improved my iron striking. The Orange Whip will not transform your swing overnight and you will certainly get some bemused looks as you warm up with it down the range, but I have been using it for about 4 weeks now and the consistency of my game has changed noticeably. I do believe however that the Orange Whip trainer gives me something extra that the professional could never get across to me, the feel for the speed & rhythm of the swing and getting extension through the ball. I have had many lessons in that time and will continue to take them as there is no training aid invented that can replace the expertise of a qualified PGA teaching professional. I have been playing golf for over 30 years and currently play off a 10 handicap. I would agree if we were talking about a rigid club. I took his advice and have now had the whip in my bag for the last three weeks. He recommended it for any golfer that has trouble getting to the range on a daily basis. The people that advocate (2) will tell you that swinging a club significantly heavier than your driver (which the Lightspeed is despite it being lighter than the original Orange Whip) is actually detrimental to speed.
